Second Suspect Sought In Sky Valley Shooting

Authorities are searching for a second suspect involved in a Sunday night shooting in Sky Valley, east of Desert Hot Springs.

Deputies responded to a call that shots were fired after 9:30 p.m. in the 17-500 block of Langley St., south of Dillon Rd.

They found one victim suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The victim was sent to Desert Regional Medical Center, where he was treated and released.

Investigators said the person who lives at the address is known to allow transients to live on his property. It appeared an argument erupted after the owner claimed one of them was stealing from him and asked a friend to confront the suspect.

One suspect has been detained; a second suspect is at large. Deputies are looking for a white man in his 50s with blond hair known as “Roy” who took off from the scene in a brown truck. He is still believed to be in the area.
