Deputies Search For Walmart Robber

The sheriff’s department asked for the public’s help today in tracking down a Riverside man accused of robbing Walmart stores across Riverside County.

Raul Roy Trujillo, a 25-year-old former Walmart employee, is suspected in four robberies and should be considered armed and dangerous, said Sgt. David Florez of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Trujillo is suspected in an Oct. 3 robbery at the Walmart at 34500 Monterey Ave. in Palm Desert and a Nov. 1 heist at the Walmart at 1540 E. Second St. in Beaumont, the sergeant said.

Trujillo may also be connected to thefts from Walmart stores in Corona and Chino, he said.

The suspect has family throughout Riverside County, but may have fled the state, according to Florez, who said investigators believe Trujillo knows he is being sought by law enforcement.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts was asked to call the sheriff’s department at (760) 836-1600.
