Investigators Review Video Of Robbery

Police are reviewing security video from a robbery Monday night in Cathedral City.

The video shows two suspects enter the Little Caesar?s located at 27800 Landau Road.

According to Lt. Chuck Robinson, both men had handguns.

They ran off with cash from the register and from a customers purse.

The Little Caesar?s robbery comes less than a week after three men busted into the Mexican restaurant La Palabas at 34351 Date Palm Dr.

Two of the men were armed.

They also took cash from the restaurant and from customers.

Investigators will ask witnesses from the La Palapa robbery to review the security video from the Little Caesar?s robbery.

?In the first robbery we had no surveillance video at all so we were having to operate solely off the description provided by our victims and we actually have a surveillance video in the second robbery,? said Robinson. ?So by showing that to our first victims, we may be able to identify or show similarities in positively identify at least there?s a correlation between these two robberies.?

The suspects in both crimes share a similar description.

Black men in their 20?s, 5?10? tall, weighing about 170 lbs.

Police are using the crimes to remind local businesses to install security cameras.

?If it?s one thing we can impart to our business community is the fact that surveillance videos can be very very helpful in our investigations if their is something that happens at a business,? said Robinson.
