I-10 Motorhome Fire Sends Smoke Wafting Into Coachella Valley

The California Highway Patrol was helping Cal Fire with a motorhome fire on Interstate 10 on Monday morning

The fire was reported at 9:40 a.m., where fire crews found a full-sized motorhome on fire.

The thick black smoke was sent wafting into the Coachella Valley prompting a lot of calls to the News Channel 3 newsroom.

CHP officers arrived to help with the traffic. Twoi lanes of the interstate were blocked for cleanup efforts for a short time, but all have since re-opened.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No one was injured.
