Two Palm Springs Men Jailed For Violent Love Triangle

Palm Springs Police said they had two men in custody late Wednesday after what started out a a simple report of shots bring fired turned into a police hunt for two men.

Police responded at 11 p.m. in the area of East Ramon Road and South El Cielo and got a call from a woman at the sa,e time reporting a fight between her current and ex-boyfriends.

Investigators later determined the fight started in Cathedral City and wound its way to Palm Springs, where the windshield of one of the men’s cars whas shattered with a bat and shot at.

Two men were later identified, and police tracked them down on the 3900 Block of Calle De Ricardo in Palm Springs. Both of them were taken into custody and a shotgun and ammunition were recovered.

Conrado Avila, 46; and Luis Siordia Rincon, 21, both of Palm Springs were transported to the jail in Banning.
