Coachella’s Apple Market Robbed At Gunpoint

Two men armed with handguns and wearing dark bandanas over their faces robbed a market in Thermal, a Riverside County sheriff’s sergeant said today.

Sgt. Steve DaSilva said the two men entered the Apple Market, 56491 Highway 111, at 8:50 p.m. They armed with handguns and demanded money.

The suspects then took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and fled the store running north on Highway 111.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Both suspects were described as Hispanic males in their 20s, one about 5- feet-6 with a thin build and the other about 5-feet-10 with a heavy build. Both suspects were wearing dark hooded sweatshirts, dark pants and had dark- colored bandanas covering their faces.
