Police Make Arrest In Desert Hot Springs Drive-By Shooting

Police in Desert Hot Springs announced an arrest had been made in connection with a drive-by shooting that happened on Monday afternoon.

Sgt. Ken Peary said William Washington, 20, was arrested and booked in the Riverside County Jail in Banning on Tuesday and faces possible charges of attempted murder.

Peary said the arrest was the result of a thorough police investigation and the cooperation of community members.

Washington was also booked on a probation violation and an enhanced charge for being a member of a gang.
