Ten Men Arrested In Coachella Parole Sweep
Ten men were arrested in Coachella on Wednesday as authorities from two agencies conducted parole compliance checks in the city.
“Operation Safe Coachella” targets paroled offenders who break the law, according to Coachella police Sgt. Mike Tapp. The Coachella police Community Action Team, along with California State Parole conducted parole compliance checks, warrant services, and proactive patrol on Wednesday.
Tapp said Ten men were arrested for various criminal charges and warrants. The following persons were arrested during the operation and transported to the Indio Jail:
1. Gilbert Rojas, 23 of Coachella for a felony narcotic warrant. 2. Jose Garcia, 40 of Coachella for a felony perjury warrant. 3. Marcos Cano, 26 of Coachella for a parole violation. 4. Marcus Rodriguez Sr., 49 of Coachella for possession of narcotics. 5. Marcus Rodriguez Jr, 26 of Coachella for a parole violation. 6. Juvenile, 17 of Coachella for a no bail burglary warrant. 7. Gilbert Delgado, 29 of Coachella for a felony narcotic warrant. 8. Marcelo Arrieta, 39 of Coachella for a felony narcotic warrant. 9. Jesus Larios, 25 of Coachella for two felony narcotics warrant. 10. David Soriano, 35 of Coachella for possession of heroin and parole violation.
“The operation?s goal is to continue our pro-active mission to reduce the fear of crime, reduce calls for service and increase the quality of life within the city of Coachella,” Tapp said.
