Solar Class Designed To Help Save Money

Southern California Edison will host a free solar class tonight to provide information to any residents who are considering purchasing a solar electric generating system for their home.

The meeting will be held today at the Cathedral City Public Library, 33520 Date Palm Drive, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Those on hand at the meeting will hear about the benefits of installing a solar energy system and financial benefits available for those who do so.

The California Solar Initiative provides rebates to customers who install solar equipment at their home or business. Tax credits and other benefits are available to those who partake in the program, Southern California Edison spokeswoman Vanessa McGrady said.
