Deal May Be Near For Man Accused of Kidnapping, Robbing Actor In Palm Springs

A man accused of kidnapping and robbing “Party of Five” actor Jeremy London in Palm Springs last year may see his case settled next week. Riverside County prosecutors said Brandon Adams will be back in court next Wednesday for a trial readiness conference. A deputy district attorney, Jake Silva, said Adams may accept a plea agreement before the planned conference.

Adams,27, has been in jail since shortly after the alleged abduction on June 11. Prosecutors said he helped London change a flat tire, then forced London to take drugs and drive around the city purchasing alcohol.

Adams has denied the allegations against him, saying he and London simply took a joyride and partied for hours with friends.

London has a history of drug abuse. Several family members also came out against his story last year.

If no plea deal is arranged, Adams will be set to go to a trial that’s expected to last 10 days.
