BNP Paribas – Final Wildcard Spots Set

Five days of grueling matches narrowed a field of 140 players to one man and one woman who earn the final wildcard spots in the BNP Paribas Open.

The men’s field of 91 players concluded with a match between UCLA freshman Daniel Kosakowski taking on Rudolf Siwy.

Kosakowski was down 5-3 in the first set, but stormed back to win the first 7-5. The momentum then shifted to the Bruin as he cruised to a 6-3 second set victory.

The victory means Kosakowski earns the right to play in this weeks BNP Paribas Open.

On the women’s side, Krista Hardebeck won 6-4, 6-1 and earns the wildcard.

Qualifying for the BNP Paribas Open begins on Monday at 10 a.m.
