Firefighters Stop La Quinta Kitchen Fire From Spreading
Cal Fire and Riverside County firefighters stopped a kitchen fire from spreading throughout a La Quinta home on Monday.
The fire was reported shortly before 12:15 p.m. on the 54600 block of Avenida Vallejo, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The first engine to arrive reported smoke coming from the home. Firefighters said they launched an aggressive fight inside the kitchen, and stopped the flames from spreading.
Firefighters were staying on the scene to ventilate the home and get rid of the burnt materials.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
