District Attorney Mulls Case Of P.A.L. Director

A Cathedral City woman whose job with the Palm Springs Police Dept. put her working alongside children, must now wait to see what the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office decides to do with her case.

Alanna Reichle, 33, was arrested on May 2 at her home on charges she had an on-going sexual relationship with a 17-year-old boy, according to the Cathedral City Police Dept.

Investigators handed over the results of their probe to the D.A.’s office on Wednesday.

Reichle was the Director of the Western Coachella Valley Police Activities League, which provides activities for at-risk youth in Palm Springs, Desert Hot Springs, Cathedral City, Thousand Palms, Rancho Mirage and Sky Valley. The program is managed by the Palm Springs Police Department.

Since her arrest, the group has been without a solid leader.

“We just remain focused. It’s about the kids. That’s what gives everyone who’s involved the strength to pull together. We’re moving forward,” said Sgt. Tim White, president of the Police Activities League.
