Indian Canyon To Close For Repairs

The City of Palm Springs alerted residents and visitors that N. Indian Canyon Dr. will be closed for at various times this week.

Road repairs and sand removal will take place on May 31, June 1 and June 2 as a result of recent wind storms.

The closures will be from 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. from Tramview Road to Train Station Road. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained.

“These closures are necessary to remove thousands of cubic yards of sand that still remains on the side of the roadway,” said David Barakian, Director of Public Works And Engineering. “The goal is to move the sand back into the river bed where it belongs and ultimately reduce future road closures. Your patience is appreciated.”
