Man Arrested For Stealing $23K From ATM

A former employee of Chase Bank in Desert Hot Springs was arrested and faces possible charges of stealing more than $23,000.

Desert Hot Springs Police Sgt. Ken Peary said his department was contacted by an investigator from Chase Bank after they were told Danny Morin, 26, had stolen $23,660 from an ATM on the 13000 block of Palm Drive on March 1.

Morin was no longer employed by the bank when he was interviewed and arrested at his Cathedral City home, said Peary.

Morin was taken to the Riverside County jail in Banning, and was being held on possible embezzlement charges.
