60 Freeway Back Open After Shooting Investigation
A dispute between coworkers led to gunfire and the temporary closure of parts of the 60 Freeway on Wednesday morning.
Authorities said a shooting victim was found at Valley Boulevard and Old Valley Boulevard in the city of Industry. The wounded man was airlifted to UCI Medical Center in unknown condition.
Then a man who had been wounded in the confrontation was found on the 60 East at Diamond Bar Boulevard after he crashed his vehicle into the center divider. He was taken to a local hospital, along with another injured person at the scene. It was unclear what the second person’s injuries were.
An investigation is under way. All eastbound lanes of the 60 Freeway were closed just after 8 a.m. at Diamond Bar Boulevard but were reopened at 9:32 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
