Motorcyclist Airlifted After Accident

A motorcyclist was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition following a crash with a truck at a La Quinta country club today, according to Cal Fire.

Preliminary reports indicate that the victim’s injuries included broken bones, Riverside County sheriff’s Lt. Jason Huskey said.

“He has broken bones, but he is conscious,” Huskey said.

The crash, reported about 2:45 p.m., happened on a road inside the Madison Club near Amundson Avenue and Meriwether Way, authorities said. The truck driver was not hurt, said Melody Hendrickson of Cal Fire.
