Fire Destroys Two Double-Wide Trailers

Fire has damaged two double-wide mobile homes in San Jacinto, a Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman said.

The fire was reported at 6:17 p.m. Sunday in the 2100 block of south San Jacinto Avenue, said fire spokeswoman Jody Hagemann.

The first engine company on the scene reported seeing one mobile home 50 percent involved in flames, Hagemann said. In all, 31 firefighters with 10 fire engines battled the blaze.

A second mobile home sustained an unknown amount of damage, she said. A civilian was treated for minor smoke inhalation at the scene.

The fire was declared under control at 6:54 p.m., Hagemann said.

The cause is under investigation, she said.
