Death Of Former KESQ Sportscaster A Mystery

The death of former KESQ News Channel 3 sportscaster Daryl Hawks remained a mystery on Tuesday.

Hawks died unexpectedly last month while he was on assignment.

Results of an autopsy came back inconclusive as to the cause of his death.

A co-worker found Hawks dead in his Atlanta hotel room where he was covering the NBA play-offs for WMAQ-TV in Chicago.

The medical examiner’s office said they were conducting more tests to find out how and why he died.

Hawks worked at News Channel 3 as a weekend sports anchor from 1998 to 2000.
