Gas Prices Fall One Week Before Holiday

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire fell 1.5 cents today to $3.85, the lowest since March 4.

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties is 4.1 cents less than one week ago and 22.9 cents lower than a month ago but 75.3 cents higher than a year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price has fallen 47 of the past 49 days, with the increases coming Saturday (two-tenths of a cent) and Monday (1.4 cents).
