Five Left Homeless After Fire In Desert Hot Springs

Riverside County fire crews quickly contained a fire at a Desert Hot Springs duplex.

Calls reporting the fire came in just after 11 a.m., and crews reported seeing flames shooting out of the structure, located at 66424 Ironwood Drive.

The fire was contained about 20 minutes later.

There were no reports of injuries.

Two adults and three children were left homeless by the fire, and the American Red Cross is helping them find a temporary place to live.
