Traffic Alert: Cathedral City Road Construction
Lanes closures will be in effect on northbound Date Palm Drive in Cathedral City from 7 p.m. today through July 22 while the Gas Co. does line maintenance and inspection work.
The work will be done on northbound Date Palm Drive in three areas, between Dinah Shore Drive and Vista Chino, according to a city spokeswoman.
Date Palm will be restricted to one lane from Dinah Shore Drive to Olancha Road; Corral Road to San Susanna Avenue, including the crossing at Ramon Road; and Tortuga Road to Vista Chino.
Work on Dinah Shore Drive will involve an open pit protected by K-rail, steel plate and fence, according to the city.
The closures are part of the Date Palm/Interstate10 Interchange Project. A full list of closures is posted at www.cathedralcity.gov.
