Betty Ford Remembered In Grand Rapids

A motorcade carrying the body of former first lady Betty Ford has left a church where she was remembered by family and friends and is headed to her burial site at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum in Grand Rapids.

Hundreds of people stood outside Grace Episcopal Church to watch the hearse pull out Thursday afternoon.

Ford died Friday at age 93.

She is to be buried next to her husband on the grounds of the museum on what would have been his 98th birthday.

Lynne Cheney, wife of former Vice President Dick Cheney, spoke at the memorial service, which also was attended by former first lady Barbara Bush and former President Bill Clinton.
