Former Indio Police Chief Passes Away

Former Chief of Police for the city of Indio Jerry Graves passed away on Monday, July 18, city leaders announced on Tuesday.

Graves retired from the Indio Police Department in 1993 after seven years of service.

“We appreciate the fine service he gave to the Indio Community and offer our sincerest condolences to his family and friends,” said Indio City Manager Dan Martinez.

Prior to his service in Indio, Graves was a police captain for the city of Orange.

Graves’ family will be holding private memorial services in his honor.
