When you put two of his passions together, news and technology, you get the perfect job, he says.
As Digital Content Director, he manages KESQ.com, KUNAMUNDO.com and the website for our sister station KDFX Fox-11 on a daily basis, writing and updating stories, posting interactive elements, and keeping you updated on all of the day?s news as it happens. He can also be found Twittering and Facebooking to all of KESQ?s followers and fans, and getting their input on the day?s stories.
As KESQ’s iReporter, he can be seen on-the-air discussing what you’re saying about some of the big stories.
Erik is not a stranger to the Coachella Valley. You may have seen him anchoring news and entertainment during his last stay here on another station. He then traveled to Seattle, where he anchored news for Northwest Cable News and KING-TV, where he was nominated for three Emmy Awards for anchoring.
It was in Seattle he learned the tricks behind web development, social media, and reported on the weekly tech scene in the land of Microsoft, Amazon.com, T-Mobile and RealNetworks.
An opportunity to move back to the sunny desert was something he couldn?t pass up.
In his spare time, Erik enjoys music, movies, and enjoying the warm weather.
