Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting 3 La Quinta Boys
La Quinta police reported the arrest of a man accused of sexually assaulting at least three boys earlier this year.
Investigators say a 16-year-old contacted the department in late July to report he was sexually assaulted by an adult in La Quinta and Indian Wells several times from May to July of this year.
He gave investigators very detailed accounts as to what the man did to him and named him to police.
Police investigated further and found two more boys who had fallen victim to the same activity.
On Wednesday, Anthony Cornejo Ortiz, 54, of Indian Wells, was arrested without incident at his home.
Officers also served a search warrant to search for more evidence at his home.
Ortiz was later booked at the Riverside County Jail in Indio for thirteen counts of oral copulation, two counts of lewd act with a child, seven counts of sodomy, and two counts of furnishing methamphetamine to a minor.
