Stagecoach Music Festival Expands Camping
Stagecoach country music festival organizers announced today that the 2012 festival has added 400 tent camping spaces, which go on sale tomorrow at 10 a.m.
“We understand many fans were unable to purchase camping passes. To accommodate more campers, we made the decision to reallocate land creating 400 additional tent camping spaces,” concert promoter Goldenvoice said in a statement.
Each $75 space is 10-feet-by-15 feet and comes with a parking spot in an adjacent lot.
“You may fit as many tents/people in your spot as space allows,” the statement said.
“Please note that we are anticipating a high demand for tent camping passes, and there is a potential for these to sell out instantly.”
Reserved seats closest to the stage for the festival sold out Oct. 28, less than two hours after going on sale. Second-tier reserved seating passes and $200 general admission tickets are still available. Passes can be purchased on layaway.
Stagecoach is slated for April 27-29 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, and the festival will add a day, Goldenvoice said.
Performers will include Brad Paisley, Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Alabama, Martina McBride, Kenny Rogers, Luke Bryan, The Mavericks, Sara Evans, The Band Perry, Justin Moore and the Eli Young Band.
For next year’s festival, organizers are instituting a code of conduct “in order to provide an environment where families can enjoy the festival,” the statement said. “This is not meant to detract from the fun but as a reminder to be respectful of others who are also trying to have a good time.”
The Indio City Council approved a new two-year agreement with Goldenvoice for the 2012 and 2013 Stagecoach and Coachella festivals last month, and the La Quinta City Council backed the agreement.
