Sports Help A Palm Springs Family Deal With Tragedy

Sports helped a Palm Springs family deal with tragedy. Jeremy Crane lost his wife to lymphoma cancer last month. Doctors told her she had six months to live, but she passed away six days later. Crane’s sister organized a softball tournament with 20 teams playing at Demuth park this weekend.

Each team donated 250 dollars. Money raised goes to funeral costs and helping with Crane’s three daughters.

“It’s been a blessing. I want to say thanks to my sister for everything, and thanks to these teams. The turnout and love for the family has been awesome,” Jeremy Crane said.

As of Sunday afternoon, the tournament raised $9,500.

Crane created a U.S. bank account in Thea Crane’s name if anyone wishes to donate.
