Insterstate 10 To Partially Close Due to Contruction Work

RS Closures Eds: Green can be reached at (909) 800-0451. PALM SPRINGS (CNS) – Beginning tonight, sections of Interstate 10 at the Palm Drive/Gene Autry Trail interchange will be closed overnight several times this week for construction.

All westbound lanes of the freeway will be closed at the interchange from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. today and Wednesday, according to Dennis Green of the Riverside County Transportation Department. Eastbound lanes will be closed from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Green said.

Traffic will be diverted off the freeway and directed around the closure area.

“Those exiting the freeway at Palm Drive/Gene Autry Trail are advised to use other exit ramps along Interstate 10, as intermittent ramp closures will occur at this location. Allow extra time and plan for delays,” Green said.

The California Highway Patrol will be enforcing construction speed limits. The construction work is part of the I-10 Coachella Valley Corridor projects.
