Deadly Crash Shuts Down Sunrise Way In Palm Springs
Palm Springs police were investigating a deadly crash involving a pedestrian Saturday night.
It happened just before 8:00 p.m. near the intersection of Sunrise Way and Sunny Dunes, according to police.
A car struck an elderly woman crossing the street and she died.
She was not in a cross-walk, according to a police sargeant.
The driver did stop and cooperated with investigators.
Police shut down Sunrise between Ramon Road and Sunny Dunes for hours while they investigated.
