Arraignment For Accused L.A. Arson

The man accused in starting more than 50 arson fires in the Los Angeles area is expected to be arraigned Tuesday.

24 year old, Henry Burkhart, may enter a plea to 37 counts of arson after he allegedly started the dozens of fires over New Year’s weekend in the Hollywood and San Fernando Valley area.

Authorities believe the German national was angry over his mother’s legal troubles and went on a nighttime rampage of burning parked cars.

Burkhart’s mother is facing extradition to Germany where she’s charged with 19 counts of fraud.

Henry Burkhart is being held on nearly $3 million bail and could face more than 20 years in prison if convicted.
