All Lanes Back Open After Big Rig Spilled Load

The California Highway Patrol and California Department of Transportation re-opened all lanes on Interstate 10 around 9:30 Wednesday morning after a truck spilled a load of bricks and pipes.

Officer Joe Zagorsky says the accident happened around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Skylark Ranch exit, which is between Chiraco Summitt and Desert Center. Debris was blocking all eastbound lanes east of Indio.

Overnight, crews were able to push the truck to one side of the freeway to allow traffic through.

Wednesday morning, they were able to finish the clean-up job.

No one was injured.
