Suspect Arrested In La Quinta Convenience Store Armed Robbery
A man is in jail, following his arrest on suspicion of armed robbery at the Circle K in La Quinta.
Around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, La Quinta Police responded to an armed robbery that occurred at the convenience store, at 78110 Calle Tampico. An investigation revealed a man entered the store, brandished a handgun, and demanded money. The suspect fled the scene with an unknown amount of cash. Nobody was injured during the incident.
The man was described as Hispanic in his early 20s with a thin build. He was wearing a blue and white baseball cap, gray and white plaid hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and tennis shoes.
On Thursday, Thermal investigators identified the man and served a search warrant in the 50000 block of Tomas Lane in Coachella. Twenty-four-year-old Jaime Zaragoza Garcia from Coachella, was arrested on suspicion of armed robbery and booked into the Indio Jail. Two other people in the home, 20-year-old Benjamin Zaragoza and 19-year-old Jesus Zaragoza, both from Coachella, were arrested on suspicion of obstruction and resisting arrest and also booked into the Indio Jail.
