100-Year-Old Plays 100 Holes Of Golf

Cy breen ambitiously played 100 holes of golf at the Cimarron Golf Course in Cathedral City in celebration of his birthday, raising money for breast cancer. The cause is close to his heart : his wife is a 10-year breast cancer survivor and his step-daughter lost her battle with the disease in 2005.

Cy says age is just a number.

“Thinking that you’re old and can’t do things is not true. You know your limitations and you know how far you can go and everything. If you take care of yourself and have a good attitude, participate in community projects, it keeps you going,” Breen said.

Cy takes donations and, in his years, has already raised over one hundred thousand dollars for breast cancer research. He said he hopes to play one hundred and one holes next year.
