More Than 1,000 Southern California Edison Customers Without Power

About 1,043 Southern California Edison customers in Palm Desert were without power Saturday morning.

According to SCE, customers near Frank Sinatra Drive and Portola Road were affected beginning around 5:17 a.m.

The outage was caused by equipment problems, according to Edison’s website. Power was expected to be back on by 10 a.m. Saturday. A call to Southern California Edison was not immediately returned.
