Teen “shocked” at Shadow Hills High

Riverside County firefighters responded to a call of a student getting “shocked” at school Monday afternoon. CAL Fire spokesperson Cheri Patterson said firefighters were alerted at 12:59 p.m. about the incident at Shadow Hills High School on Jefferson Street in Indio.

When paramedics arrived at the school, the 16-year old male student had been moved to Shadow Hill’s office. Patterson could not immediately say how the student had been shocked, or where in the school the incident happened.

The teenager was taken to JFK Memorial Hospital in Indio in stable condition.

An email to Shadow Hills principal was not immediately returned.
