Perez Books robbed, police look for culprit
A Cathedral City adult bookstore was robbed at gunpoint on Thursday, and police are now looking for two men.
Sgt. Carl Wolford with the Cathedral City Police Department said the robbery happened around 7:10 p.m. at Perez Images on the 68300 block of Perez Road.
Officers responded to a store clerk’s 911 call to find he had been robbed by a man who he said had walked into the business, pointed a gun at him and demanded money.
After giving him the cash, the man left the store and got into a newer-model 4-door Mitsubishi sedan that was driven by another man. They fled eastbound on Perez Road, Wolford said.
