Several pepper sprayed, 1 stabbed in Banning

Two men were arrested during Independence Day celebrations in Banning after several people were pepper sprayed and one person was stabbed, according to a police spokesman.

Officers responded to the 2100 block of West Jefferson St. around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, where they said discovered several people suffering the effects of being sprayed in the face with pepper spray.

They said they found another person who had been stabbed several times. His condition has not been released.

Officers arrested Daniel Ray Lopez, 27, and Adrian Nicholas Mora, 27. They were taken to the Smith Correctional Facility in Banning, where they face possible charges of assault with a deadly weapon.
