Palm Desert Library Moves to Mall

The Palm Desert Library will move from one temporary site to another in the Westfield Mall next week while the permanent site is being renovated, a county commissioner said today.

The library temporarily relocated to the mall in May due to the renovation project, which is scheduled to be complete in early fall.

The latest temporary location — to be operational as of Aug. 29 — is on the second floor of the mall, near Macy’s, in space 315, said Commissioner Tom Freeman of the Riverside County Economic Development Agency, which oversees the library system.
