Gas prices hold steady – after 11 straight days of increases

An 11-day streak of increases in the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire ended today when it was unchanged, remaining at $4.142.
The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties increased 4.5 cents during the streak, including one-tenth of a cent on Monday, rising to its highest amount since June 7.
The average price is 2.7 cents more than a week ago, 30.8 cents higher than one month ago and 21.6 cents greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
