Two other hikers from Texas were rescued after getting lost in the woods atop rugged Mount San Jacinto.

The hikers were spotted at 1:25 a.m. at the top of the Palm Springs Arial Tramway, about a mile from the Long Valley Ranger Station, Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Kirk Steines said.

They were identified as Preston Crow and Carol Crow, of Wichita Falls, Texas, Friends reported the hikers missing late Friday when they did not return from their day hike.

The hikers remained at the upper tram station until help arrived, Steines said. The hikers were uninjured.
