New bill paves the way for Space travel in California

Yesterday was not only a historic day as Endeavour made it’s last historic flight over California landmarks, but California also gave aerospace pioneers like Virgin Galactic and “Space X” a break.

Under the new law, the Governor gave California aerospace pioneers like Virgin Galactic, SpaceX and the Spaceship Company immunity from liability if spaceflight passengers are injured on board. It’s a move NASA applauds because that’ll enable them to concentrate on other missions like going to Mars or asteroids.

Donald James from NASA says, “We expect commercial companies will be taking people like you and me into space for rides, maybe go to space hotels and do other kinds of business.”

Until actual space travel becomes available, fans can visit Endeavour at the California Science Center near downtown LA in several weeks.
