Police chase ends with suspects behind bars

Three suspects are behind bars after a routine traffic stop Friday (11/16) turned into a car chase.

Police say, the chase started shortly before 2:30 pm Friday (11/16) afternoon in Palm Desert. After police tried to pull over a stolen pick-up truck on Monterey Avenue and Magnesia Falls.

Authorities say, the driver eventually led them to a mobile home park where three people in the car got out and tried to run. They were caught a short time later.

31 year old Hemino Mata-Abrego and the passengers 28 year old Nancy Gasper and 36 year old Catalina Sprenger were arrested. Abrego was out on bail for another crime while Gasper had an outstanding felony kidnapping warrant.

Police say both women were under the influence. All three suspects are from Cathedral City.
