Coroner identifies November crash fatality

A little over 3 weeks after his death, the Riverside County Coroner’s Office release the name of the man killed in a fiery crash in Palm Springs on November 11th.

The Riverside County Coroner’s Office says 27 year old Cameron Butler, of Palm Springs, died after crashing into a palm tree after losing control of his speeding sedan.

Palm Springs Police say the crash occurred on the 2500 block of Toledo Avenue around 2:40 A.M. Firefighters found a luxury sedan fully engulfed in flames and later found the driver dead inside.

The driver was traveling southbound on Toledo Avenue, just south of Via Estrella, when he lost control and slammed into a palm tree on the west side of Toledo Avenue, according to police.
