A 50 year-old man is safe today after getting lost on a hiking trail in Thermal.

Officials say a 50 year old Arizona man went for a six-hour hike on the Martinez Canyon trailhead, near Jackson street and Avenue 66.

The man left on Sunday but never returned to his pickup point on highway 74.
