Four wanted in Palm Springs home invasion

Police say four armed men stormed into an elderly woman’s Palm Springs home and held her to the floor as they grabbed property.

The victim yelled for help Saturday night at her home in the 1100 block
of East Ramon Road, as the suspects ran off in different directions, the Palm
Springs Police Department reported.

Police later learned that the suspects had jumped over the home’s rear patio and entered through an unlocked sliding door.

Police say the four robbers barged into the woman’s bedroom, forced her onto the floor and ransacked her home as one of the suspects covered her mouth.

Police report two of the suspects are believed to have carried a handgun and knife.

Neighbors heard the woman yell and phoned for help at 7:47 p.m., then chased the suspects. Police officers set up a perimeter several blocks wide, but could not find the suspects.

The woman was treated at Desert Regional Medical Center for minor injuries.

The Palm Springs Police Department asked anyone with information about the home invasion robbery suspects to call at (760) 327-1441.
