Residents and police golf for new security cameras in Cathedral City

The first ever Princess and Police golf tournament was held on Sunday. The event benefited the Cathedral City Police Department.

Residents and local law enforcement teed off together at the Desert Princess Country Club.

More than 130 participants attended the event, including a dozen officers from Cathedral City and Palm Springs Police Departments.

Organizers were hoping to raise enough money to help officers install mobile surveillance cameras in the city’s problematic areas.

Playing spots sold for $100 per person, which included play in a shotgun tournament, great prizes and dinner afterward at Leon’s at Desert Princess.
