Police arrest two, one still wanted in La Quinta T-Mobile break-in

Police continued to look for a third burglary suspect Friday after arresting two others accused of breaking into a La Quinta T-Mobile store early Thursday morning.

Investigators say the crime was related to several other burglaries at T-Mobile stores in Southern California and Arizona.

The Riverside County Sheriffs Department said in a release, officers responded to a possible commercial burglary at 2:20 a.m. Thursday morning at the mobile phone business located at 79485 Highway 111.

Officers detained and later arrested the driver of a van seen leaving the area, Erick Ademir Carias, 24, Los Angeles who also goes by the name Erik Carias Aguilar.

Two other suspects escaped.

Investigators from the sheriff departments Thermal division worked with counterparts in the Jurupa Valley Station locating a second suspect, Michael Anthony Mixon, 44, Corona. Police arrested Mixon in the city of Eastvale.

Investigators believe Aguilar waited outside the T-Mobile store in a van while two suspects forced their way into the store through a neighboring business.

Deputies booked Carias and Mixon into the Riverside County jail in Indio for felony commercial burglary.

A third suspect remained wanted Friday and was described as a Hispanic, in his late 20’s, 5′-6″ in height with a thin build, and short black hair.

The Sheriffs department asked anyone with information to contact Investigator Albert Loureiro from the Thermal Sheriff’s Station Investigations Bureau at 760-863-8488. Those with information may also reach the department anonymously through Crime Stoppers at (760) 341-STOP, or by sending an email to ThermalStation@RiversideSheriff.org.
