Beaumont death ruled a homicide

Police find a woman dead in her Beaumont home and are now looking for her roommate.

Beaumont Police received a call at about 5:30 p.m. Thursday from a friend who said the 44-year-old woman hasn’t been seen or heard from in several days, Beaumont spokeswoman Darci Mulvihill said.

Officers went to a home in the 200 block of West 7th Street and found the body. The woman’s name was not released pending notification of relatives.

Detectives says the woman’s roommate, Vanessa Kathleen Fierro, 30, is a “person of interest” in the case.

The woman’s death was ruled a homicide by the Riverside County Coroner’s
Office. No details were released as to the cause or time of death in her 7th
Street home.

Police asked anyone with information about Fierro’s whereabouts to call
the on-duty watch commander at (951) 769-8500. Information can also be sent to crimetips@beaumontpd.org or reported anonymously to WeTip at 1-800-78-CRIME.
