Three die in Palm Springs wreck
Three people are now confirmed dead after a crash in Palm Springs.
Emergency crews were called to Gene Autry Trail, just south of I-10 after 10 p.m. last night.
That’s where a Chevy was traveling north when it drifted into southbound lanes and collided with a minivan.
Officials say two men in the Chevy died on scene and a woman in the minivan also died.
That woman’s passenger survived, but there is no word on his condition this morning.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation and it’s not clear if drugs or alcohol played a factor
Gene Autry was closed in both directions from I- 10 for about 6 hours but is now reopened.
This is now the sixth traffic death in the Coachella valley in just the last 36 hours.
